The La Salle University Men’s Rugby Club competes in division III of the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union, governed by the college division of USA Rugby. It strives its student atheletes to excel both on the field and in the classroom while incorporating a family oriented environment. Although from a smaller college, many La Salle RFC alum have went on to compete in the US Super League and Division 1 Men’s Clubs.
Established in 1984, La Salle has had success competing in the EPRU making a name for itself with numerous playoff appearances. Some of its well known matches in the past have been against teams like Villanova and St. Joseph’s. The team has a rich history in strong play and local team relations.
Recently, an organizational breakdown leading to new staff and a new strategy. Now, after being reinstated into divisional play La Salle RFC is a Philadelphia powerhouse continuing to represent the university, the fans, and the team in an excellent manner.
